FAQs

  • I’m mainly based in Margate, Kent in the UK. I do most of my work across London, Kent and SE England. I’m very happy to travel for an elopement, location, or destination wedding; they call me the ‘travelling celebrant’ for a reason…

I’m currently applying to become an official Australian wedding celebrant, and will then work in both the UK and Cairns, Australia. Celebrants in Australia can conduct legal wedding ceremonies unlike in the UK. Watch this space…

  • In the UK a celebrant-led wedding is bespoke, beautiful, creative, meaningful – but not legal. You will need to do the legal bit in a registrar office. You might like to think of it as the ‘wedding admin’. You can do the legal bit before or after your celebrant wedding. That’s your call. If you want to be heart-married but not legally married, then you don’t need to do the registrar bit at all.

  • Absolutely anywhere! Unlike legal (in the UK)/civil/religious weddings that need to take place in a licensed venue, a celebrant wedding can take place wherever you like. In a big top, on a boat, at the beach, in your favourite building, in a field – the possibilities are endless

  • Yes and no! I’m happy to be your wedding-day co-ordinator who will work with the venue and other vendors to make everything run smoothly on the day. I can also be your wedding planner for small micro-weddings, elopements and micro-destination weddings

  • Absolutely. We shouldn’t even need to ask that question, right?

  • Absolutely. I’m delighted to include the small, and not so small, young people in your life within the ceremony, and adapt on the day (or in the moment) if they go off-piste. There are many wonderful symbolic rituals such as the sand ceremony that are perfect for blended families and children

  • Absolutely. I’m also a professional dog sitter with over 20 years’ experience, as well a being a celebrant. I adore dogs; there’s nothing I’d love more than to plan your ceremony and include your beloved dog within the proceedings! I also offer a post-ceremony dog chaperone service

  • Yes. This is your ceremony your way! There are a myriad of ways in which space for religious reflection can be built into your wedding ceremony. For example, cultural rituals that are often performed in religious ceremonies – such as smashing the glass, the Var-mala (garland) exchange, jumping the broom. Together, we can create a unique and generous ceremony that is fully inclusive

  • Yes absolutely. There are so many possibilities here which we can go over in our discovery call; we’ll get to know each other and co-create symbolic rituals meaningful to you. We can even make one up! We can build in moments of contemplation, prayer and meditation too. A few examples are a union ritual which is a symbolic often creative ritual to represent the union of two people. Examples include sand ceremonies, wine rituals, creating an anniversary capsule, tea ceremonies, jumping the broom, and tree planting. Another popular ritual is handfasting which is a beautiful ancient Celtic tradition with pagan roots that see’s the celebrant bind the couple’s hands together with rope or ribbon to signify the union. It’s where the phrase ‘tie the knot’ originates

  • I love to dress up, but I ensure to take my stylistic cue from you and your ceremony theme. I have floaty dresses, formal suits, kaftans, evening wear and festival wear. I’m open to suggestions and discussing this when we have our discovery chat
