About Me
I’m Mounira, a travelling celebrant, a storyteller, a people-person, a dog and a nature lover. A proud business woman, yoga teacher, wife, and mother. A foodie, a romantic, and a film lover, with a penchant for creativity, fun, romance and nostalgia…
Just in case you were wondering, my name derives from the Arabic word “نور” (nur), which means ‘bright’, and holds connotations of hope and light which feels very apt for my work as a celebrant.
I am a professionally trained Independent Celebrant having graduated with Academy of Modern Celebrancy and I get immense joy from working with couples globally to create beautiful, relaxed, and highly bespoke ceremonies. I will go that extra mile to create an exceptional ceremony for you!
“Bringing people together and celebrating life brings me so much happiness”
I also work (part-time freelance) as a film and TV project manager/researcher/writer, and in the wellness industry as a yoga teacher. This experience bodes very well for being a storyteller, ninja organiser, creative wordsmith, and master of CALM for your fabulously unique wedding day ceremony!
I currently live and work between Margate, Kent in the UK, and tropical Cairns in Australia.
As a progressive celebrant, I have a strong commitment to marriage equality, the LGBTQIA+ community, cultural diversity, and inclusivity.
I am very proud of the gold standard service I provide for my couples; this is a culmination of my training, experience and my unique creative vision.
I am looking forward to hearing your love story and working with you on your ceremony. I will tell your love story with great warmth and affection. I’m always happy to answer your questions and have a chat.
